4/12/24: Twelve weeks on semaglutide (generic Ozempic)... Part I, and Part II. So far, so great. 4/12/24: I received the Service Award from the National Book Critics Circle at a fancy ceremony in New York. To see just my intro and speech, go to minute 35. Later there are speeches by Lorrie Moore and other great writers... Here's the whole ceremony. 4/12/24: Recent literary coverage: 1/17/24: I have a story in Cosmopolitan this month, part of a big online package on Sex after 60. My humble contribution is here. Thanks to my daughter Jane, now at Columbia Journalism School, who alerted me to a pitch request on Twitter, ultimately giving me the opportunity to write a sequel to a sex story I did for Cosmo in July 1995. It's been a long strange trip, for sure. And don't ask me about the insane art, I had nothing to do with it. 12/17/20: On LitHub, Six Book Critics Walk Into a Zoom to Talk About Autofiction, A Totally Fictional Story by Marion Winik Featuring a Martin Amis Cameo.
Browse the Bohemian Rhapsody archive — running since 2011 on Baltimore Fishbowl. Marion's "Lives" columns for The New York Times Magazine: "Grand Theft Litho" and "A Mother of A Certain Age". An archive of Marion's commentaries for All Things Considered. Lots more essays and articles in the links archive and work archive.
